Qualifications for Marriage at St Barnabas'
The law allows you to be married at St Barnabas' if one or both
of you can say 'Yes' to one of the following statements:

'I live in St Barnabas' parish'
If you click here you can check whether you do.

'My name is on the Church Electoral Roll'
To get your name on the electoral roll you need to have been christened and to have worshipped regularly at St Barnabas' for a period of at least six months. The wedding cannot take place until the six months are completed. Regularly means about once a month.

The qualification rules are the same for Church of England weddings throughout the country and are laid down by Parliament. The Church is in the process of seeking a change in the law to relax the rules
but we do not yet know when these changes will come into force.
