CHILDREN & YOUTH

SERVICES

We love having children and young people in church and welcome their active participation in our services whenever we can: reading, leading our intercessions or playing and singing in our band.

There are two services a month specifically aimed at children and young people.

Our much loved Family Service, on the 1st Sunday of the month at 9.30am, is pitched for those at primary school. It is 45minutes of informal and creative worship with simple craft, catchy songs and tasty refreshments, too.

And our monthly All Age Service, on the last Sunday of the month at 11am, is designed to include everyone, with children and young people usually playing an active role.

On the Sundays in between these two, we also have age-appropriate groups that run alongside our main services, too.

GROUPS

FILM BIBLE STUDY [FBS] YEArs 10 to 12

FBS meet at 10.00, once a month to discuss themes emerging in a chosen film, previously watched at home, and how the themes and characters and ideas in it, can help us to understand the Bible better.

Favourite films have included Avatar, The Village, The Beach and Elf.

THE GRID (Yrs 7 to 12)

The Grid have Sunday morning sessions in church which typically run during the morning service twice a month (depending on school holidays). Whether doing a bible study and looking at something topical, the material is a mix of discussion, craft and games.

SPLASH (Reception to Yr 6)

The group meets twice a month (depending on school holidays) alongside the main service to read or watch bible story and is more than likely to be followed by a making a brilliant take-away bit of craft.

During holidays we either run Bible Cinema for his group or provide other table-based activities that can be done in church during the service.

CRECHE

We also have a creche corner inside the church with toys and stories so that parents can stay in the service whilst the children discover those first bible stories.
