PARTNERS

For several years now, we have identified specific mission partners: other groups or organisations working for social justice whom we support with our time, money and prayer. Whether they are based locally or work globally, partnering with them has been an important part of the journey of the church.

Glass Door partners with churches to give shelter and support, because no one should have to sleep on the streets of London. It is the largest open-access network of emergency winter shelters and support services for men and women affected by homelessness.

Wandsworth Foodbank are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK by providing three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis.

Care for the Family is a national charity which aims to promote strong family life and to help those who face family difficulties and we are home to their London office. They provide parenting, relationship and bereavement support through their events, resources, courses, training and volunteer networks.

South London Citizens organise to build power for the common good and to tackle injustice in our local communities. One of our highlights in the Wandsworth Alliance was pushing the new Council to commit to paying the Real Living Wage in May 2022.

Eco Church is an A Rocha project which encourages churches to take practical action on caring for God’s earth. Earning our bronze award in 2022, we continue to deepen our eco commitments and are now aiming for silver. Read a summary of what we have done here.

One of GoMAD’s many and varied projects is tree planting in northern Tanzania. Trees enable people to grow their way out of poverty. Aiming to plant 25,000 trees in the next 12 months, the long term plan is a continuous planting programme to replace trees that will be felled in 15 years time.
